Tonight, We're Going To Party Like It's 1995

And we are going to do that every night for the rest of this Parliament.

There is no sign of that £350 million per week for the NHS, so Labour ought to table a motion of No Confidence in the Government's Brexit strategy.

More broadly, Theresa May has a tiny majority, much of which feels passed over, and now this.

Meanwhile, Labour has a formidable Chief Whip.

Let the Major years, only even more so, begin every night in the Division Lobbies, regardless of the specific issue each night.

Let Conservative MPs do what they do best.

Not merely every night on television, to the nostalgic delight of us old Britpop boys. But all day, every day.

Unlike Labour MPs, they cannot blame it on the party in the country. That must rankle most of all.

But they have nothing to fear from that party.

The people who run Conservative Associations are not much interested in politics. The party is so called because it is a social thing.

They would never dream of doing anything to the MP other than refill his cup or replenish his glass.

Deselection is just not what Tories do. It is a Labour practice, and quite a rare one even there.

Tories would never do anything so presumptuous.

The Conservative Associations selected the existing Conservative MPs in the full knowledge that they were as Europhile as hell.

There has been no upsurge in Conservative Party membership. It is still the same people.

The kind who certainly stand up, and possibly kneel down, when the MP comes into the room.
