In which any five million people have exactly the same rights as any other five million people.

If the Labour Party in Scotland had a Leader, then that Leader would be demanding that Nicola Sturgeon's proposed special deal with the EU be put to a referendum.

It would still be laughed out by the EU institutions and by every other member-state.

But even before that, let it by laughed out by the voters of Scotland.
