Even Denis MacShane, of the Henry Jackson Society when there still was such a thing other than on the Telegraph Blog of its "Research Director", and of the Euston Manifesto Group when there was still even the pretence of such a thing anywhere, now calls for our troops to be brought home from Afghanistan by Christmas. More joy in heaven, and all that. Better late than never.
